Frankenstein

1931 1 hr 10 min

Based on the novel by Mary Shelley, James Whale’s 1931 classic featuring Boris Karloff as the monster is considered one of the most important horror films ever made, helping to kickstart a golden age for the genre. The obsessive Dr. Frankenstein executes a plan to assemble a living being from the parts of exhumed corpses. Whale’s fascinating take on the “Modern Prometheus” proves the lasting legacy of its timeless source material.
